“Was not their mistake once more bred of the life of slavery that they had been living?—a life which was always looking upon everything, except mankind, animate and inanimate—‘nature,’ as people used to call it—as one thing, and mankind as another, it was natural to people thinking in this way, that they should try to make ‘nature’ their slave, since they thought ‘nature’ was something outside them” — William Morris

Down with Pundits

The idiocy of the TV punditodcracy (thank christ I don't have a TV) has been monumental this time. I think that two things happened, twice—Hegel's litmus test for how a thing can happen at all:

1) Obama won.
2) Nate Silver was 100% correct.

The BBC was just as godawful as everyone else. "No clear winner" of the third debate. "Razor thin" margins. And on and on.

I truly think it's racism. I saw a lot of white blowhards on the telly (on my computer) last night, wondering how this could have happened—how They could have voted for The Black Man (let's face it).

I really want these people to fade away, or explode. Either suits me.
